This image shows Uberto Price, chairman of the Department of Reading Education in the College of Learning and Human Development at Appalachian State University (1967-current) for 1974-75. He can be seen sitting in an office holding a book. The Reading Center provided diagnostic and remedial services for Appalachian students and the region in general. It also served as a laboratory for students in the teacher preparation program. This image appears in the 1974-75 Faculty Pictorial Directory (p. 39).
