This image shows six men participating in Saturday classes posing on the Promenade outside the second Administration Building, built 1924, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. Seen in the front row are Hubert Turner, principal of McColl Elementary School in McColl, SC, Appalachian State education professor Nollie Shelton, and Fred Yarborough, guidance director of St. Andrews High School in Charleston, SC. Seen n the back row are Felder R. Cook, coat at North Charleston High School in North Charleston, SC, Raymond Fowler, principal of Fletcher Memorial School in McColl, SC, and James Laughlin, principal of Patrick Henry School in Martinsville, VA.
