Description

This image shows two men donating three books to D. D. Dougherty Library, built 1935, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. The man on the right is holding "A Guide Book of United States Coins," and "Handbook of United States Coins." The man in the middle is presenting a copy of "Paper Money of the United States" to Library Director William L. Eury. The man on the left is Dr. William Fulmer(Department of Secondary Education) and in the center is Dr. I.W. Carpenter (Department of biology). The card catalog can be seen in the background.
