This image shows Uberto Price, director of Reading Services, sitting next to a woman in the Reading Center at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. The Reading Center provided diagnostic and remedial services for Appalachian students and the region in general. It also served as a laboratory for students in the teacher preparation program.
