Description

This image shows the stage in the auditorium in I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. Piles of set materials can be seen on the stage while four people are seen working on the left and in the center in preparation for a theatrical performance from the Department of Theatre and Dance. The department sponsors the University Theatre which produces several plays a year and holds auditions for the season that are open to all students. The department is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Theatre, the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 266).
