This image shows student teacher Kelly Little from Appalachian State University (1967-current) sitting at a desk in an office in 1986-87. Little taught special education at Hardin Park Elementary School. Students in the College of Education seeking teaching certification were required to earn 12 credits for student teaching, and often taught at local schools in Watauga and surrounding counties, as well as in Lucy Brock Nursery School at Appalachian State. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 156).
