Title

Hot Air Balloon, 1973

Description

This image shows a hot air balloon being launched from the baseball field at the southeastern side of the Appalachian State University (1967-current) campus November 1973. The flag poles in front of B. B. Dougherty Administration Building, not shown, can be seen in the foreground. Students and observers can be seen standing in the field watching, and the tennis courts are visible on the right. For five dollars, students could ride in the balloon and get an aerial view of campus.
