Title

Education Building, 1968

Description

This image shows the old Education Building, built 1925, after a snowfall at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in January 1968. The Education Building was originally Boone Grade School and later Appalachian Elementary School, otherwise known as the Demonstration Elementary School, where Watauga County students were taught by Appalachian State faculty and students. The elementary school was moved to Whitener Hall in 1954, and the building was used by Appalachian State University until it was demolished in the late 1960s.
