This image shows the New Group, a student band, standing on a mound of dirt with instruments at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the mid-1960s. East Residence Hall, built 1952, the second Lovill Home, built 1915, Lucy Brock Nursery School, built 1965, and L. S. Dougherty Hall, built 1961, can be seen on the left.
