Outstanding Homefront Award, 1968, photo 1

This image shows a group of women from Doughton Hall holding a framed Outstanding Homefront Award and a letter at a table at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in February 1968. Doughton Hall residents were awarded the Outstanding Homefront Award by the United States Armed Forces in Vietnam for their support through contributions to the people of Vietnam and their support of the war effort. Doughton Residence Hall, built 1963, was a dormitory for women.
