Majorettes, 1985, Leslye Lassiter

This image shows head Majorette Leslye Lassiter posing outside at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985-86. The Majorettes formed in 1939 as the Baton Twirling Club and performed routinely at parades and athletic events with the Marching Band during the academic year. Conrad Stadium was renamed Kidd-Brewer in 1988. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 336).
