This image shows three faculty members standing at the Honors Program award ceremony in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in May 1973. The man seated on the left is Mr. Rogers Whitener (English faculty). The Honors Program is an academic and residential community for high achieving students and is open to freshmen, transfer students, and current students at Appalachian State.
