This image shows the Alumni Association's luncheon at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1972. A group of people can be seen sitting at tables in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925. Former President Williams Plemmons and his wife, Bebe, may be seen in the middle of the room seated and dining alone. To the right of the podium: Unknown, Chancellor Herbert Wey, Mrs. Herbert Wey (Jeanie), Mr. F.P. Bodenheimer (Board of Trustees), Mrs. F.P. Bodenheimer (Margy), Unknown. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections.
