Description

This image shows a man receiving an award from the Alumni Association during a luncheon in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1972. A man can be seen handing him a silver cup behind a podium. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. Standing on the left is M. F.P. Bodenheimer (Board of Trustees), and on the right is Mr. John Matthews, President of the Alumni Association.
