This image shows a woman receiving an award from the Alumni Association during a luncheon in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1972. A man can be seen handing her a silver cup behind a podium. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections.
