Homecoming Parade, 1972, photo 5

This image shows part of the Appalachian State University (1967-current) Homecoming parade down King Street in Boone, NC, in October 1972. Four members of the ROTC program, students on horses, and the Marching Band can be seen. Onlookers and businesses can be seen on the left and right. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
