This image shows Chancellor Herbert Walter Wey (1969-1979) giving a speech at the Alumni Association's Distinguished Alumni Luncheon at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1972. A group of people can be seen sitting at a table and an Appalachian State University banner can be seen on the wall in the background. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. Next to Ms. Robinette is her husband, Mr. Fred Robinette. Third from the right and next to Chancellor Wey is Mrs. Fred Robinette. Third from the left is Mrs. F.P. (Margy) Bodenheimer.
