Description

This image shows a float in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming parade in October 1966. The float reads, "Cultivate ... understanding through the Peace Corps." Four students can be seen in various costumes standing next to some corn stalks. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
