Homecoming Game, 1973, court

This image shows Homecoming Queen Carol Roessel being kissed on the cheek after the crowning during halftime at the Homecoming game in Conrad Stadium, built 1962, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in October 1973. The Marching Band and audience can be seen in the background. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
