This image shows a student sitting on a tractor attached to a float in the Appalachian State University (1967-current) Homecoming parade in a warehouse before the parade in October 1971. Two floats can be seen in the background, and a student can be seen lying on a cot on the left. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
