Homecoming Parade, 1965, photo 8

This image shows the Hoey Hall float in the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming parade on October 23, 1965. Students dressed like football players can be seen standing on the float pushing a cart. Another student is seen standing by a goalpost. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
