Description

This image shows attendees of a luncheon held by the Alumni Association at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) during Homecoming in October 1965. Three people can be seen standing and talking in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, while others are seen sitting at tables eating in the background. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. The woman in the center forefront is Mrs. Beatrix Blanton Ramey, Elementary Education faculty. Speaking with her is Dr. John Corey, Education faculty.
