This image shows Vicki Pittman and Sarah Church, two members of the Homecoming court, standing on the football field at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, during halftime at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) on October 23, 1965. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
