This image shows students decorating a float for the Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming Parade in October 1964. A globe is visible in the center, and a raised background reads, "ASTC..." Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
