This image shows Jane Davenport, a member of the Homecoming court at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in October 1965, walking with an escort at the Homecoming dance. Other attendees can be seen standing on the left. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
