This image shows Mountaineer football player Jerry Price standing next to a woman and a trophy during during halftime at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, during Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) Homecoming game on October 23, 1965. Price was awarded the Bob Broome trophy, seen sitting on a table in the center. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen. This image appears in the 1967 Rhododendron (p. 70), and in the October 28, 1965 edition of "The Appalachian" (p. 4).
