This image shows the Marching Band performing in the Appalachian State University (1967-current) Homecoming parade going down King Street in Boone, NC, in October 1967. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
