Homecoming Parade, 1954, homecoming court

This image shows the Homecoming court driving down the Promenade at Appalachian State University (1967-current) during the Homecoming parade in October 1954. Dauph-Blan Hall, built 1929, can be seen in the background. Homecoming was an annual event that included dramatic performances, a parade, a dance, a football game, reunion activities, and the crowning of the Homecoming queen.
