Title

Alcohol in Dorm Room, 1986

Description

This image shows the inside of a student dorm room decorated with posters, beer advertisements, and liquor bottles at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1986-87. Garfield posters can be seen reflected in the mirror above the desk. Students 21 or older were allowed to consume alcoholic beverages inside a dorm room provided they did not leave the dorm room with an open container. Kegs were only allowed at the Plemmons Student Union Pub and specially designated areas. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 73).
