Marching Band Practice, 1966, photo 1

This image shows members of the Marching Band at Appalachian State University (1967-current) marching in formation in uniforms and playing instruments during a practice session at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, in 1966. The Marching Band was originally started by Professor Gordon Nash in 1939 and was managed by the Department of Music. They performed routinely at parades and athletic events during the academic year.
