Yosef, 1985

This image shows Yosef, the Appalachian State University (1967-current) mascot, cheering during a football game in the 1985 football season. Yosef is seen holding a rifle in the air, wearing a black mask over his eyes, with a cloth sign reading, "SY" (Super Yosef), on his shirt. Yosef has been the official Appalachian State mascot since 1942. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 296).
