This image shows members of the men's Track Team at Appalachian State University (1967-current) running a race on the track at Kidd Brewer Stadium, built 1979, in the 1980s. A runner from Virginia Tech can be seen in the foreground. Appalachian State's Track Team included distance races, hurdles, and pole vaulting.
