This image shows a member of the men's Track Team at Appalachian State University (1967-current) pole vaulting over a raised bar at Conrad Stadium, built 1979, in 1986-87. Appalachian State's Track Team included distance races, hurdles, and pole vaulting. Conrad Stadium was renamed Kidd Brewer Stadium in 1988. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 331).
