Yosef Statue, circa 1960

Description

This image shows the head of a Yosef statue erected in the lobby of Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, at Appalachian State University (1967-current). Yosef has been the Appalachian State mascot since 1942. The statue was six-foot, six-inches tall and made of bronze. It was erected in 1958.
