This image shows Jim Davis, a member of the men's Golf Team at Appalachian State University (1967-current), swinging a golf club on a golf course in 1986. Buildings can be seen in the background and snow partially covers the course. The men's Golf Team formed in 1983-84. This image appears in the 1987 Rhododendron (p. 327).
