Title
Triple-T Project, biology exhibit, photo 2
Description
This image shows a group of elementary school children crowded around a skeleton at one of the participating schools in the Triple-T Project in the 1970s. The teacher can be seen standing in the background. The Training for Teacher Trainers (Triple-T) Project was a grant-funded program at Appalachian State University (1967-current) to retrain teachers already in the work force, using new methods for teaching teachers with students in actual classroom situations. It was part of a group of educational research projects including the Appalachian Training Complex, the Lighthouse School Program, and the Teacher Corps. The man in the background is Dr. Edgar Greene, Department of Biology.
