Description

This image shows a teacher standing beside a group of students in a classroom at one of the participating schools in the Teacher Corps Project in the mid-1970s. The Appalachian State University-Winston-Salem State University Teacher Corps Project was aimed at providing in-service training for teachers and administrators, pre-service training for graduates, on-site training for interns, and increasing community involvement in the education process. It was part of a group of educational research projects including the Appalachian Training Complex, the Lighthouse School Program, and the Triple-T program.
