Description
This image shows students in an art class sketching a woman sitting on a bench at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. A man can be seen standing in front of them wearing sunglasses. Originally part of the Division of Applied Arts, the Art Department was one of the first departments at Appalachian State, and is now housed under the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
