W. Kerr Scott Hall, construction, photo 1

This image shows construction on the Industrial Arts Building at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the early 1960s. The building was completed in 1961 and named Kerr Scott Hall. It was renamed Katherine Harper Hall in 2006 and houses the Department of Technology. The Steam Generator Plant, built 1924, and Broome-Kirk Gymnasium, built 1955, can be seen in the background.
