This image shows Watauga College students sitting in a lounge listening to a lecture at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in 1985. Watauga College was founded in 1972 as a living/learning residential college within Appalachian State and was an alternative to the general education program for freshmen and sophomores. This image appears in the 1986 Rhododendron (p. 230).
