This image shows Clarence B. Bunch, Jr., the head of the Department of Art at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. The Art Department was one of the first departments at Appalachian State and is located in the College of Fine and Applied Arts. It includes concentrations in clay, drawing, fibers, metals/jewelry, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture.
