This image shows a recipient of a staff award at the Broyhill Inn and Conference Center, built 1972, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in December 1980. The awards were distributed at a luncheon and were awarded for outstanding staff performance. A man and a woman are seen standing outside the entrance of the Broyhill Inn, holding a Suggestion Award Certificate awarded by the State of North Carolina. Holding the ward is Mr. Frank Shropshire. Presenting the Award is Ms. Darlene Rupert, Secretary in the Department of Foreign Languages.
