This image shows four attendees at a staff party at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the early 1970s. Robert Snead, director of the Office of Alumni Affairs, can be seen standing on the right. Snead served as director of the Office of Alumni Affairs from 1966-1971, as vice-chancellor of Public Affairs and Development from 1971-1989, and as assistant to the Chancellor after 1989. Standing beside Mr. Snead is Mr, Louis Gaston. On the far left is Mr. Lee Adams. Both of these men worked in the public affairs area.
