This image shows a member of Campus Police at Appalachian State University (1967-current) holding an object behind a podium in the 1970s. Campus police took responsibility for campus safety and parking enforcement for the main Appalachian State campus, University Water Systems, State Farm, and Camp Broadstone. Because of limited parking options on and off campus, student parking violations was one of the most visible of Campus Police services.
