Title

Stadium Expansion Campaign, circa 1975

Description

This image shows an advertisement for the ASU Stadium Expansion Campaign held by the ASU Foundation at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The billboard includes a drawing of the proposed stadium expansion, and reads, "We're too big for our stadium. But soon... ASU Stadium Expansion Campaign." The Appalachian State University Foundation was founded in 1970 and raised private funds for campus improvements, academic programs, and scholarships. Conrad Stadium was originally built in 1962 and was rebuilt in 1979, helped by Foundation funds. It was renamed Kidd-Brewer Stadium in 1988.
