The Appalachian State University Foundation was founded in 1970 and raised private funds for campus improvements, academic programs, and scholarships. To the left of Dr. Plemmons is Unknown, Mrs. Mary Allen, Mrs. Minnie Snead, Mr. Robert Snead Vice Chancellor for Development and Public Affairs), Chancellor Herbert Wey and Mrs. Brenda Wey.
