Title

Campus Bell, circa 1975

Description

This image shows a bell resting in front of I. G. Greer Hall, built 1950 (not shown), at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. The bell was originally located above the Appalachian State Normal School (1925-1929) cafeteria and signaled breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Varsity Gymnasium, built 1968, can be seen in the background. The bell is now located in front of the first Belk Library, built 1968, also known as the Old Library Classroom Building.
