This image shows a student purchasing materials while the cashier writes on a notepad in the University Bookstore, built 1969, at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in the 1970s. In addition to books, the store provided supplies, Appalachian State merchandise, sports equipment, and a snack bar. It was built adjacent to the Plemmons Student Union, built 1968, on the location of the old College Bookstore.
