Description

This image shows Vice-President David Barnard Dougherty (1955-1965) presenting a trophy to one of the players during a football game at Conrad Stadium, built 1962, at Appalachian State Teachers College (1929-1967) in the 1960s. The football game was being played against an unidentified team. Conrad Stadium was located on the southern end of campus, and was renamed Kidd-Brewer Stadium in 1988.
