This image shows a luncheon held by the Alumni Association at Appalachian State University (1967-current) in Welborn Cafeteria, built 1925, in the 1970s. Attendees can be seen sitting at tables. A man can be seen standing in the background, speaking to the audience. The Alumni Association started in 1934 and met at least once a year during Homecoming for reunions, association business, and officer elections. Standing is Jim Brakefield, Head Football Coach. Seated to his right and wearing glasses is Gerald Adams.
